Micro hydro is a term of small hydro power generation from 5 - 250 kW. Micro hydro utilizing river to generate electricity or mechanical power through run off the river. It is build commonly in remote area for village electrification, mini grid, plantation, telecommunication, health facilities or even  grid connected to get revenue from utility. Many micro hydro are built as a simple plant and generate basic electricity need while many of them utilizing modern technology with more complex system.

Our micro hydro units are custom made based on customer site data and specific technical and economic requirements. Our scope of supply mainly is complete mechanical and electrical components ready for installation. It is recommended set up since customers do not have to make or fit other components which might be difficult to handle especially in remote area.

CROSSFLOW TURBINE C-200

Developed to fulfill the requirements for simple and affordable turbines with high quality standard and efficiency as well as the simplicity in construction, maintenance and operation. We present our latest cross flow turbine design called cross flow turbine C-200. The turbine is suitable for village electrifications or micro hydro power plant that requires simpler system and cost effective. The turbines are custom made based on site data provided by customer. In most cases the installation and operation can be done locally by villagers/technician with our guidance.

The runner discs are made from mild steel with laser cutting profile and machined blade. Our runner and guide vane profile finishing ensure the efficient energy conversion from water to mechanical power. the tough and robust construction will keep the long lifetime and the use of standard parts will make it easy in replacement in case something need to be changed

CROSS FLOW TURBINE T14/T15

Cross flow turbine T14 (300 mm) and T15 (500 mm) are Entec AG Swiss licensed turbine of the latest design. Developed and tested in Stuttgart University and firstly manufactured in Bandung Indonesia. It is advance and latest model of T series cross flow turbine (T1...T13) which was well known in many countries. It is now become most popular cross flow turbine design all over the world for its quality and proven design. Entec AG has spread the knowledge and licenses to many countries all over the world through extensive training in Bandung, Indonesia where it’s has become the center of excellent for turbine manufacturer in South East Asia. 

Numerous computer based modifications of the hydraulic profile were empirically tested in the laboratory of the institute for hydraulic machine University of Stuttgart Germany.  Part load efficiency is a big concern in order to suit high flow variation in most of the runoff river scheme. With only 20% of rated flow the efficiency still reach above 50%. This allows reducing cost, since single cell runner will be sufficient in the majority of application. With two cells runner turbine will have two independent guide vane and regulation, thus turbine become more complicated and costly.

High quality steel for housing and laser cut profile runner disc with advance machining is employed to ensure the guaranteed efficiency and performance. The design and hydraulic layout result in minimized vibration and noise level. Bearing and guide vane housing is design in such a way that it can accommodate different type of bearing to cope with site requirements (fly wheel, direct couple or belt drive). If the turbine must be positioned above tail race water level due to flood risk, the draft tube might be added to reduce head loss, although in most cases draft tube are not mandatory. We manufactured T14 and T15 cross flow turbine at one of the licensed and most experienced workshop in Bandung as our partner with our supervision and assistance.

PELTON TURBINE

Pelton turbine is one of a popular hydro turbine model suitable for high head scheme >60 m. The simple construction and high efficiency with broad flow range is main advantage of it. Most of the configuration is direct coupling which make the unit become more compact and higher efficiency in mechanical transmission. Part flow efficiency can be maintained even up to 70% at 10% of rated flow, this make it possible to be used on extreme flow variation site during a year.

Our Pelton turbine uses latest bucket design with investment casting for high capacity to ensure the efficiency and sand casting for small capacity (<30 kW) to maintain the competitiveness. Further machining process ensuring the best shape bucket profile to meet the standard. The use of high quality material and components will ensure the lifetime and performance over a long period of time. Bucket, nozzle and needle material are commonly made from high grade stainless steel to avoid corrosion especially on unknown water quality.
